Mosaic Is Unavailable
Why the Mosaic option is greyed out.
Use this when
The Mosaic view button is absent or clicking it shows an upgrade prompt or the message "This recording doesn't have Side Imaging port and starboard channels loaded."
Common reasons
- Free plan — Mosaic is available on Pro and higher plans. If your account is on the free tier, the Mosaic view shows an upgrade prompt instead of generating a mosaic.
- No Side Imaging channels in this recording — Mosaic stitches SI Port and SI Starboard ping data into a georeferenced image. If the recording has no recognised SI channel pair, the Generate button is disabled and no mosaic can be built.
- Empty SI channels — Both the port and starboard channel must contain at least one ping. A recording where one channel file is present but contains no data will not satisfy this requirement.
How to check
- Look at the channel tabs in the viewer top bar. Mosaic requires channels labelled SI Port and SI Stbd (or MEGA Port and MEGA Stbd). If these tabs are absent, the recording has no usable SI data.
- Check your plan in Settings > Account. If your tier is shown as Free, mosaic generation requires an upgrade.
- Switch to the Mosaic view. If you see the upgrade card, the account tier is the blocker. If you see the message about missing SI channels, the recording is the blocker.
What to try next
- Open a recording that you know was made in Side Imaging mode. If the Mosaic view works there, the original recording simply has no SI data.
- To use Mosaic on all your recordings, upgrade to Pro at gethumvision.com/pricing.
- If you have a Pro account and SI channels are present but the Generate button stays disabled, try closing and reopening the recording.
