Pin Important Recordings

Pin the recordings you want at the top of the list.

Use this when

You want quick access to a recording you open often — a key waypoint scan, a reference baseline, or a file you are actively working. Pinned recordings appear in a dedicated row at the top of the Home screen, above your recent activity.

Before you start

The recording must already be in your library. You can pin recordings that are assigned to a project or unassigned — project membership has no effect on pinning.

Pin a recording

  1. Go to Library in the left sidebar.
  2. Right-click the recording you want to pin.
  3. Click Pin in the context menu.

The recording moves to the Pinned row at the top of Home immediately.

Unpin a recording

  1. Right-click the recording — either in Library or directly on its card in the Pinned row.
  2. Click Unpin.

The card is removed from the Pinned row. The recording stays in your library.

What you should see

After pinning, the Home screen shows a Pinned section with a pin icon above the Recents row. Each pinned recording appears as a card with its name and location label. The section disappears automatically when you have no pinned recordings.

If it does not work

  • No "Pin" option in the menu — you may be right-clicking a project card rather than a recording. Recording context menus appear in the Library list or on recording cards, not on project tiles.
  • Pinned row does not appear on Home — check that the recording was saved to the library first. If the file was just imported and the library has not refreshed, close and reopen the Library panel.
