Add Recordings to a Project
Move recordings into a project for organized review.
Use this when
You have a recording in your library and want to file it under a project, or move it from one project to another.
Before you start
The recording must already be in your library. You can add it to a project from the library, from the Home screen, or from inside an open project.
Add a recording from inside a project
- Open the project by clicking its card on the Projects screen.
- Click Add Recording — either the button in the top-right of the Recordings section, or the Add Recording button in the centre of the screen if the project is empty.
- The Move to Project dialog opens showing your project list. The current project is already selected.
- Select the project you want to assign the recording to, then click Move.
Add a recording from the library or Home screen
- Right-click a recording card.
- Choose Move to Project from the context menu.
- In the Move to Project dialog, select a project from the list.
- To file under a new project at the same time, click Create new project... at the bottom of the list, name the project, then click Create. The new project is selected automatically.
- To remove the recording from any project, select Remove from project at the top of the list (only visible when the recording already belongs to a project).
- Click Move.
What you should see
The recording card appears in the project's grid. The count in the Recordings header updates. If you removed a recording from its project, it no longer appears in that project's screen.
If it does not work
- Move button is greyed out — the selected project is the same as the current one. Pick a different project or choose "Remove from project."
- Recording does not appear in the project after moving — close and reopen the project detail screen to force a refresh.
- "Create new project..." is missing from the list — you may be looking at the wrong dialog. The option appears only in the Move to Project dialog, not in the project detail's Add Recording flow.
