Use Single View
Focus the viewer on one channel at full size.
Use this when
You want to focus on one sonar channel at full size. Single view fills the entire viewer with a single channel's return data, giving you the most screen space for detailed inspection.
Before you start
A recording must be open. The channel tabs along the top of the viewer show which channels are available for the loaded file.
Switch to Single view
- Click the Single Channel button in the view mode group at the top of the viewer (the leftmost icon in the four-button toggle).
- The viewer immediately fills with the active channel's sonar return.
Select a different channel
- Click any channel tab at the top of the viewer — for example Down 200, SI Port, or SI Stbd — to switch which channel is displayed.
- The canvas updates without leaving Single view.
What you should see
The full viewer area shows a scrolling sonar image for the selected channel. The toolbar on the left and the scrubber at the bottom remain visible. The channel tab for the active channel appears highlighted.
If it does not work
- All channel tabs are greyed out — no recording is loaded. Open a recording from the Library first.
- A channel tab is missing — that channel was not recorded in the file. Only channels present in the loaded recording appear as tabs.
- Viewer appears blank after switching channels — drag the playhead scrubber to a point in the file where data exists, or use playback to move forward from the start.
