Install HumVision

Use this when

You are setting up HumVision for the first time on a Windows or macOS machine.

Before you start

• You need internet access to download the installer and to sign in the first time.
• On macOS, you will need to approve an app from an identified developer in System Settings. No special IT permissions are required on Windows.
• HumVision auto-updates on launch whenever a new version is available. You do not need to reinstall manually.

Download the installer

1. Go to gethumvision.com/dashboard/downloads.
2. Sign in if you are not already signed in.
3. Click the download that matches your platform:

• macOS: the .dmg file.
• Windows: the .exe installer.

Install on macOS

1. Open the downloaded .dmg file.
2. Drag HumVision into your Applications folder.
3. Open HumVision from Applications or Spotlight.
4. If macOS shows "HumVision cannot be opened because the developer cannot be verified," open System Settings > Privacy & Security, scroll down, and click Open Anyway.

Install on Windows

1. Run the downloaded .exe installer.
2. If Windows Defender SmartScreen appears, click More info then Run anyway.
3. Follow the installer prompts. HumVision installs for the current user by default; no administrator rights are required.
4. Launch HumVision from the Start menu or the Desktop shortcut.

What you should see

HumVision opens to the sign-in screen. The app checks for updates in the background on every launch. If an update is available, a download indicator appears in the sidebar and installs automatically when you restart.

If it does not work

• macOS blocks the app after dragging to Applications. Open System Settings > Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway. This only happens on the first launch.
• Windows installer is blocked. Click More info on the SmartScreen prompt, then Run anyway. HumVision is not yet signed with an EV certificate; this prompt is expected.
• Nothing happens when you double-click the .dmg. The download may be incomplete. Delete it and download it again from gethumvision.com/dashboard/downloads.
